Obituary of Raymond Robert Bame

Raymond R. Bame, beloved brother and uncle passed awy Easter Sunday at the age of 75 from stroke related complications. He was born in 1933 in Butte, Montana and raised in Deer Lodge. As a teenager, he worked for Milwaukee Rail Road. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1952 and spent 15 years on active duty and retired from the Navy Reserves. He remained in the Tacoma area; was a member of the Laborers Union, AMVETs and ELKs. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Catherine Bame, step-mom Mary Bame, grandparents and uncles and aunts. He is survived by his sister Sue Swim, brother-in-law Orville, nieces Daria Mleczek, Denise Deloach, Connie McKimson their spouses and children. Ray will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Memorial plan for May 2, 2009 from 2:00 - 4:00pm at Westgate Inn, North 26th St. off Pearl St. in Tacoma. Donations may be made to AMVETS, American Heart Association or Orting Washington Soldier's Home. Family would like to thank Orting Staff for their extraordinary care of Ray for the past 2 weeks.
