Obituary of Anna T. Allotta
Anna T. Allotta Was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 6, 1915, to Italian immigrant parents Salvatore Loproto and Carmela Cangelosi. She passed away peacefully in Tacoma on August 17, 2007. She was a person who was loved by all who met her and were captivated by her bright mind and engaging sense of humor. Anna worked for and retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1977. She was an active member of St. Rita's Catholic Church, the Tacoma Lodge of Sons of Italy, the Burlington Northern - Northern Pacific Veterans Association, Catholic Women's Club, and the Ladies' Auxiliary of Amvets, Post No. 5, of which she was a past president. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Leo Allotta. She is survived by her East Coast family, sister Josephine Clark (Frank) nieces Joanne Quinn (Tommy), Karen Clark, Mary Ellen Giel (Chris), Pat Lane, Barbara Viola, Lorraine Crosby (Jim), and nephew Frank Stella (Gretlies). She also leaves behind many local friends and her Tacoma cousins, the Messina-Jordan family. Rosary and Funeral Mass will take place at St. Rita's Catholic Church, Tacoma, at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, August 21, 2007. Memorials may be made to the Sons of Italy Frank S.
