Obituary of Teresa Jan Adams Davidson
Teresa was born on October 19, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri to Robert and Jan Maggard. Passed away March 9, 2012 in Kansas City, Missouri of complications of COPD.
Teresa was a teller at several banks over her career years. She was also a caretaker for the mentally disabled until she was out on disability in 2002.
She at one time lived in Independence, Missouri, Tacoma and Lacey, Washington. She enjoyed her dogs, loved taking photographs, playing Scrabble, singing and listening to all kinds of music and being with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the ocean, mountains and working with women in recovery.
Teresa was sober from alcohol for a total of 18 years, 8 years the 1st time and 10 years the second time. Unfortunately she was drinking again when she passed. Because of her periods of sobriety she was able to direct by example her two children into recovery.
She is survived by husband, Sean Davidson, son, Brian DeShazer, daughter, Christina Mitchell, grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, Alexander, Jordan, Paisley, Zachary, Sarah and Brian Jr.
Memorial service will be held 6:00 PM, Wed. the 28th of March, 2012 at Piper-Morley with Oakwood Hill Funeral Chapel.
Memorial fund donations will be accepted and greatly appreciated.
Thank you to everyone who touched Teresa's life and a special thank you to the AA program and all the members who shared their sobriety with her.
Teresa's favorite saying no matter what was going on, "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference."
